For Perplexity

Save a Perplexity answer as an image or visual PDF

Perplexity can export an answer as PDF, Markdown, or DOCX. When you want the answer exactly as it appeared, with its sources, images, and layout, or want to mark it up before sharing, capture it with Page to Image.

When a visual capture helps

Keep the answer and its sources in one view

A capture preserves the answer, the cited sources, and any images or tables in the layout you saw. It is handy for research notes, slide decks, and showing someone exactly what the answer said at a point in time.

A local workflow

Capture, refine, and save.

  1. Open the session

Open the Perplexity session in your browser and scroll through it so every answer and source card you want has loaded.

  2. Capture what matters

Choose Full page for the session, Visible area for the current screen, or Selected area for one answer and its sources. Then crop, highlight a claim, or add a note in Capture review.

  3. Export locally

Copy the image or export PNG, JPEG, or an image-only PDF. Keep the session link with the file if you need to revisit the sources later.

Choose the right export

Need editable text?

Perplexity’s Help Center describes an Export button that saves an answer as PDF, Markdown, or DOCX. Use it when you want editable or searchable text; use a capture when the visual layout matters or you want to annotate it.

What to know before you capture

Your capture and edits stay in your browser. Page to Image does not upload page contents or screenshots for processing.

Common questions about Perplexity

Does Perplexity have its own export?

Yes. Its Help Center describes exporting an answer as PDF, Markdown, or DOCX. Page to Image adds a visual capture with annotation for when the layout matters.

Will the sources be included?

Source cards that are visible on the page are part of the capture. Links in an image are not clickable, so keep the session URL with your notes.

Can I capture just one answer?

Yes. Use Selected area, or capture the full session and crop it in Capture review.
