Installing

Page to Image runs in Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc). Add it from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to your toolbar for one-click access.

Taking a capture

  1. Open the page you want to save.
  2. Click the Page to Image icon in the toolbar.
  3. Choose Full page, Visible area, or Selected area.
  4. Press Capture page. For Selected area, drag over the region you want. The capture opens in Capture review.
  5. Crop or annotate the result if needed.
  6. Copy the image, or export it as PNG, JPEG, or PDF.

Troubleshooting

The button says a page can’t be captured

Chrome blocks extensions on internal pages such as chrome:// settings, the Chrome Web Store, and developer tools. Navigate to a regular webpage and try again.

A very long page was saved in several parts

Very tall captures can stream into a single full-resolution PNG. When a single file is not possible, the capture is saved as numbered PNG parts without downscaling. You can also choose PDF from the export dialog.

Crop, annotation, copy, or JPEG is unavailable

Very large captures can exceed the browser’s editing limit. They open in export-only mode, where PNG and PDF remain available at full resolution. To edit a smaller capture, use Visible area or Selected area.

Sticky headers appear once, not in every section

That’s intentional. Fixed and sticky elements — including floating “Back to top” buttons that only appear as you scroll — are hidden after the first viewport so the stitched image doesn’t repeat them. They are restored on the page immediately after capture.

The image looks slightly blurry

Captures match your screen’s pixel ratio and browser zoom. Set the browser zoom to 100% for the sharpest output, and prefer PNG when every pixel matters.

Lazy-loaded images are missing

Page to Image pre-scrolls the page before capturing to trigger lazy loading. On some heavily delayed pages, scroll to the bottom once yourself before capturing.
