For GitHub issues

Capture a GitHub issue or pull request as an image

Keep the page context around a bug report or review discussion. Page to Image captures the GitHub page you have open, so you can mark the relevant section and attach a visual file to your existing workflow.

When a visual capture helps

Show the interface and discussion together

Use a full-page capture when surrounding comments and page layout matter, or select the relevant issue section for a concise bug report. Add an arrow or note to point to the visible detail.

A local workflow

Capture, refine, and save.

  1. Open the issue or pull request

Sign in through your browser as usual and load the sections you need. Page to Image works with the page you can access; it does not connect to the GitHub API.

  2. Capture the useful context

Choose Full page for the loaded page, Visible area for a single screen, or Selected area for one comment or interface detail. Inspect long threads for unloaded comments.

  3. Mark and attach the file

Crop, annotate, or blur details in Capture review, then export the image or visual PDF and attach it where you already discuss the issue.

Choose the right export

Keep GitHub as the source of truth

Page to Image does not export issue data or create GitHub attachments for you. Use it for visual evidence; keep comments, code, and issue history in GitHub.

What to know before you capture

Your capture and edits stay in your browser. Page to Image does not upload page contents or screenshots for processing.

Common questions about GitHub issues

Does this download a GitHub issue as structured data?

No. Page to Image makes a visual capture of the browser page. It does not export issue data or integrate with GitHub.

Can I capture a private repository issue?

Page to Image captures the page your browser can access. It does not bypass GitHub access controls; review the resulting image before sharing it.

Can I mark up a bug report screenshot?

Yes. Crop the capture and add text, arrows, or shapes in Capture review, then attach the exported file to your report.
